This 1-450 Mining Leveling Guide will tell you how to Level Mining in the fastest and most efficient way possible.  Using a mixture of Smelting and Mining we will go from 1-450 in a very, very short amount of time.  This is the fastest way to level mining in World of Warcraft.

Make sure you have already have a mining pick and that you know where all of your mining trainers are at.  The mining trainers have all the recipes you need to smelt in these steps.  It is also a good idea to have wow mining addons, such as, gatherer in order to track mining nodes in game for the parts you will have to go out and mine in this guide.

Leveling your mining through Smelting is a lot quicker but requires more gold.  If you need help making gold check out this Gold Guide.

Here we go, it’s fast so try to keep up.

1-65 – Smelting Copper Bars

Buy a bunch of Copper Ore off the Auction House and Smelt it until you reach skill 65.

65-75 – Smelting Tin Bars

Buy Tin Ore off the Auction House and Smelt utnil you reach 75, after you hit 75 you will need to be near a trainer to raise your skill level and you won’t be able to learn how to Smelt Tin until you complete the first step of this mining guide and then learn it from the mining trainer.

75-115 – Smelting Bronze Bars

Bronze is made by combining a Tin Bar with a Copper Bar.  You should have plenty of Copper Bars from the first phase and you will probably need more Tin Bars from the second step, but just buy them ore off the auction house, smelt it, and then start smelting bronze.

115-125 – Mining Tin Ore

The Barrens is the best place to go for Tin Ore.  If you don’t want to run to the Barrens for whatever reason there are alternative zones, like, Hillsbrad Foothills, Redridge Mountains, Thousand Needles, Wetlands, and a bunch of other zones around this level range that you can get Tin from.  Regardless of whether you are Horde or Alliance, it’s easy enough to get to The Barrens so that’s where you should be.  Do this for 10 skillups.

You can also Smelt Silver Ore for this step but it will cost you a lot of money, but it would save you time.

125-155 – Smelting Iron Bars

Buy Iron Ore off the Auction House and smelt it until 155, remember to go past 150 you will need to see a mining trainer.

155-175 – Mining Iron Ore

For this step you will be going to Arathi Highlands, which is in my opinion the best area to level your mining in for this part.  There are a few caves that you can basically just run around in, it’s really easy to level your mining here.

If you don’t want to leave the auction house, you can smelt Gold Ore for this part, but again, it’s really expensive.

175-230 – Smelting Mithril Bars

Go to the Auction House and buy a bunch of Mithril Ore and smelt it till you are 230, remember you will need to visit a mining trainer to go past skill 225.

230-275 – Smelting Thorium Bars

Here you will smelt all the way until 275 off of Thorium, you may also smelt Truesilver if you’d like but it’s likely to be more expensive.

275-325 – Smelting Fel Iron Bars

In order to train past 300 skill you have to see a Master Mining Trainer which is located in the Outlands of The Burning Crusade Expansion.  The easiest trainer to get to is at the starting city for each faction.

Buy some Fel Iron Ore and smelt these skillups.

325-340 – Smelting Adamantite Bars

Go to the Auction House buy a bunch of Adamantite Ore and smelt until you are 340.

340-350 – Mining Adamantite Ore

There’s no way to avoid this step either, these 10 skills have to be mined.  You can do this on Adamantite or you can stay in Hellfire Peninsula and mine Fel Iron, it doesn’t really matter, whichever you prefer to do will work.  Adamantite could be slightly faster but there’s not a big enough difference between them.

There’s Adamantite all throughout Nagrand, but honestly you don’t even have to do anything else but go between these two caves in the middle of the zone.

350-375 – Smelting Cobalt Bars

Go to auction house, buy Cobalt Ore and smelt it until you are 375.

375-400 – Mining Cobalt Ore

All you have to do here is Mine Cobalt until you are 400.  To get your Mining Past 375 you will have to visit a Grand Master Trainer, which is located only on Northrend.  Either Dalara, or the starting city for your faction will have a Grand Master mining trainer.

400-450 – Mining Saronite

This one is simple too.  Just follow the route on the map to mine Saronite.

And that’s it, now you are 450 mining and you can do whatever you want.  See?  I told you this was the fastest mining leveling guide!!
